What day is it??

It's hard to remember what day of the week it is. I was thinking it was Wednesday all morning. My days all run together. I do the same thing day after day. Get up, get the kids up. Run around getting them ready for school. Mariah gets dropped off at her school first then I take the boys to the bus stop and send them on their way. I get about 40 minutes to myself which usually consists of making phone calls, balancing the checkbook and paying some bills. Then I get myself gathered and head off to work. When I get done there the kids are waiting for me at the daycare and we head home to get supper and spend some time doing different things. Fighting with Anthony about homework is almost a guaranteed part of the day. He despises homework. Lol. I get so irritated with the papers the kids bring home. It's always nice to see what they are doing at school, but at the same time I am left with a shitload of papers that I am never sure about throwing out, holding onto for awhile to help them study or keeping for a momento. Seriously, I get stressed out by these trivial things. Lol

I try to get the kids to bed by 8:30 and that itself is a defeat. Mariah is finally going to bed with the boys and sleeping in her own bed. Most of the time, she ends up in my bed sometime thru the night but she is getting better at it.

I'm still with Brad. This relationship is much better than it was the last time I wrote about it. We are doing great. He is working afternoon shifts (which I hate) so I see him about 2 or 3 times a week. He comes over after work, which is late, and I stay up and spend time with him. This past weekend was a memorable one because we got our kids together for the first time. It was very important to both him and I and it makes me love him that much more knowing that he is careful about how he is handling his girls' feelings (he has 2 beautiful little girls 7, and 4 years old), unlike my kids' father-who has had multiple girls in and out of my kids weekend visits with him.

The kids are going thru a lot when it comes to their father. I am trying my best to talk to Anthony and have him open up a little more about his feelings. He is a lot like me. He bottles up his feelings until he literally pops and then all these emotions come out and it makes things harder to deal with. He is getting older and understanding more. I'm not so sure this is a good thing, only because he has more to deal with emotionally now. He started wrestling again. About 3 weeks ago they began their early season practices. This is his 4th year and I am so proud of him. Now, school is a whole different deal for him. He is having a rough time in 4th grade and I feel like a failure of a parent because I know I need to work more with him on his study habits. Again, budgeting time is very hard in life these days. Trying to divide my time at home between 3 kids, fighting for my full attention is a hard role for a mom.

I just looked at the time and *gasp* I have to wash my hair still and it takes forever to straighten...so I better head out and get my day started. I just wanted to take the time to update a little more.

Thanks for following me everyone!

Trying to get back into the swing of this...

It's been so long since I have really updated my journal and the sad thing is I don't even know what I want to say tonight. I don't know where to start, there's just so much that has been going on in life lately. I've been extremely busy taking care of the kids, the apartment and working. Oh and balancing time with my boyfriend :) If only there were more hours in the day.

The kids are doing good. There's a few issues with their father, still. It will always be never ending I am learning. They are having a rough time lately dealing with a few things and I am trying my hardest to get them thru it. I don't have all the answers, not even for myself, and its that much harder to try and give them comforting words to make them feel better.

It's going on two years already since their father turned a-hole. I can honestly say I am comfortable with the way I am handling my life now. It's far from easy, but I am doing this all on my own--I've made it thru. I have just resigned my rental agreement for this apartment. I'm still working at the same place and I'm trying to come up with a game plan to get back in school in January. That might have to be pushed back, but only because I think my kids are still in need of my full focused attention still. Their father is slowly but surely losing interest in them since our divorce was final. And to think he was wanting shared custody during the whole battle. I knew it would come to this, and sadly enough, I can foresee it deteriorating even more in the future.

Anthony is having some problems with his teeth and needs oral surgery sometime soon. That's another worry, but luckily its not too severe of a problem. I've been trying for a couple of months now to get the insurance figured out and find a dental surgeon. It's mind boggling.

Carson is doing very well in 1st grade. He LOVES that he can read now. He has a bit of a temper problem that we are working on getting under control. But he is still the same loving little boy. :)

Mariah is such a ham. She's in her second year of preschool now. Very girly, if you ask me---I have no idea how that happened...*wink* lol

I'll post some halloween pictures soon. (my favorite holiday!)

My boyfriend just got here, so I am off to spend the last couple hours of the night with him. :)
catch ya later!

break-away. break-free.

I haven't really kept up on my aol journal in months and I know aol is deleting J-land. (which I personally think is a load of crap). I transfered my "My World" journal over but I kept that private, only because I feel it was best kept that way. I have like 3 years of my kids lives on that journal. I'm thinking that aol should have offered people actual, book like, printouts of their journals. They could have made a profit off of it and I am sure many of us would have snagged that offer right up. I know now I am thinking.....what happens the day blogger goes down the drain?

There is so much going on in my life right now. Its unbelievable, most of it.

I just never have time to write in a journal anymore, so I am wondering just how neglected this one will be. I'm going to try though.

I guess once aol announced they were deleting journals, I then realized just how much I treasure the ability to keep a journal about their every day lives.
